Drakestone - a comfortable B&B close to Lyme Regis and Axminster
Our bed and breakfast establishment is an immaculately modernised house set in over an acre of woodland gardens, with rabbits, birds and deer. We enjoy panoramic views across the Axe Valley to the Blackdown Hills beyond, and the coast is just 3 miles away at the popular resorts of Lyme Regis and Charmouth. We are only 1 ¾ miles from River Cottage HQ, so it's an ideal base for those attending a course or event, and also handy for the River Cottage Canteen and Shop in nearby Axminster.
The proprietors, John and Paula, are former owners of a well-known B&B in Uplyme, now semi-retired and moved to a stunning location, at Raymonds Hill. Raymonds Hill is a pleasant rural community in East Devon, convenient for the lovely beaches of the Jurassic Coast at Seaton, Lyme, Charmouth and West Bay.
We are happy to accommodate divers, and can offer you facilities to dry suits and transport you to the Cobb.

We offer en-suite accommodation, or private bathroom facilities, in our warm and comfortable house. We charge £30 per person per night, to include a very substantial breakfast of freshly cooked ingredients, complemented with Paula's homemade bread and preserves. Special dietary needs can be catered for.
The Hunters Lodge Inn is just half a mile's level walk from the front door, and serves food every day. There's also a Post Office and general shop opposite the pub. Axminster has plenty of other facilities just a couple of miles away.
We can collect guests from Axminster train station which is 2 miles away, and there is a regular accessible bus service along the A35 (half a mile away) serving Lyme, Axminster and Bridport.
